Jan Cox has had a fulfilling career in public education as an elementary school teacher, special education teacher, school counselor  and, for the past 14 years as a school principal.  She has a BS degree in elementary education,  M.Ed. in Educational Counseling and endorsements in special education and school administration.  While she will miss being in the school system she is ready to move on to a new career as a support coordinator and advocate for people with disabilities and their families.   In the past, Jan has experience working on group homes with people with disabilities and coordinated services and IEP’s within her school for those kids with disabilities.  She also has worked with youth through her time spent at the Lighthouse Program.  She has also taught parenting classes through Love and Logic.

Jan loves spending time outdoors and has just recently became a triathlete.  She believes that people are capable of doing extraordinary things when given the appropriate support and opportunity.
